I don’t know what’s going on today (or ever), but news is streaming in from weird corners of the space-time continuum. “Nirvana this, Nirvana that,” said the morning news that we wrote ourselves, and “Dolly Parton this, Dolly Parton that,” says the midday news that we’re writing right now. It’s a good day to be alive if you care about useless ol’ shit.

“Dollywood’s getting a $300 million upgrade, and complimentary lemonade!” said the Daily Mail, alongside a dreamy selection of photos from within Parton’s personal amusement park. “‘Jolene’ slowed down by 25% sounds amazing!” said the HuffPo, in a pretty gross overstatement.

But that was all just unnecessary build-up for today’s greatest Dolly Parton-affiliated news story: Happy Endings‘ Casey Wilson and The Mighty Boosh‘s Rich Fulcher reenacted the dramatic true story behind the legendary musical duo of Dolly Parton and Porter Wagoner on last night’s episode of Drunk History (which was expertly narrated by comedian Seth Weitberg in between swigs of Tennessee whiskey).

There is more where that came from. If video quality is of no concern, you can watch the rest of the segment here. Otherwise, get back to yr nine to five already.
