‘Hamilton’ Would Have Probably Won A Bunch More Tony Awards With Titus Andromedon
"I died in a duel, I think."

As every living human being on the planet predicted, Lin-Manuel Miranda’s critically-acclaimed musical Hamilton absolutely cleaned up at the Tony Awards yesterday. The show won in nearly every category it was nominated, taking home a total of 11 awards for Best Musical, Best Original Score, and Best Actor among others. For the first time in the awards’ history, all four acting awards were won by people of colour.
Unfortunately, the production fell one short of taking out the all-time record for most awards won. That title still sits with 2001 show The Producers. I can’t help but feel they would have made it there if they’d thrown Titus Andromedon a bit of work.
In his defence, tickets to Hamilton are very difficult to get your hands on and some are currently sitting at $849 a pop. It’s literally impossible for us to know that the show doesn’t contain a bit where Miranda bounces up and down and says “rap rap rappy rap”. If you’d like to prove me wrong, I will gladly accept free tickets to the Australian production next year, thanks.
