Hooray! Hairdressers Are Reopening In Melbourne And Everyone Is So Excited
Hair today, gone tomorrow.
Premier Dan Andrews has announced new changes to restrictions in Victoria, including hairdressers opening from tomorrow, which everyone is so excited about.
In a press conference this morning, Victorian Premier Dan Andrews announced some easing of lockdown restrictions in the state. From 11:59pm tonight, the current 5km limit on travel for people will be extended to 25km, and there will no longer be a time limit on leaving home. There can also be outdoor gatherings of 10 from 2 households, just in time for picnic season.

He also announced that from November 1st, there will be further changes. The four reasons for leaving home restriction will be lifted, two people will be able to visit another home, and retail and hospitality will open (with conditions).
But the biggest news in all this, and the news that seemed to excite most people, is that hairdressers will be open from tomorrow.

Finally, the battered and bruised and coloured and badly cut hair that has been done by amateurs in Melbourne homes over the past few months will be able to receive some expert attention.

Comedian Nazeem Hussain has his own theory as to what is behind the opening.
