HAIM Have Officially Won Halloween With Bang-On Hanson Costumes
Mmmmbop!
Halloween is the best celebration of the year.
I mean, look at the competition. Birthdays are a terrible reminder that we are all plunging towards our inevitable deaths. Christmas is all about family, which is the worst thing that an event can be about. Easter doesn’t make any goddamn sense, and New Year’s is a jeering reminder that no matter what you try to do to change, you’ll always be trapped in old behavioural patterns.
Halloween, on the other hand, is all about chocolate, creativity, dress-ups and horror movies. Oh, and that most time-honoured of traditions: excitedly finding out what spooky costume the HAIM sisters have worn to their annual bash.
The three musicians have slowly become one of the most creative devotees to spooky season over the last few years. Don’t believe me? Just feast your eyes on their get-up last year, when they cosplayed as the three witches from Hocus Pocus.

This year, they made things more musical and less spooky, dressing themselves up as the members of classic pop trio Hanson. And I mean, sure, their costumes were rather a lot simpler than last year. But that doesn’t mean that the sum effect is any less impressive.
Feast your eyes on this clip, and tell me that HAIM haven’t straight-up won Halloween:

Truly wonderful. If that wasn’t enough, this morning the LA trio have just dropped their new single ‘I’m In It’ , accompanied by a video directed by Paul Thomas Anderson. It follows the single ‘Summer Girl’, which dropped back in July — we have yet to hear about when a new album will arrive, but we’re guessing it’s not too far away.
