Greyhound Adoption Day Is Moving Online, So You Can Now Meet Your New Mate Over Zoom

I would know. Two years ago, I adopted a greyhound named Ida, and everything has been different — not to mention better — since then. She is my big, sooky, beautiful, brown-eyed best friend. She’s currently sitting on the couch in the living room, for instance, gently farting herself to sleep.
Which is just the thing — greyhounds are a perfect dog, farts and all. They are affectionate and interested in people. They need their exercise, but they also sleep a despicable number of hours out of the day, making them perfect for apartments. They don’t really shed. And they’re quiet, gentle, and attentive.
When I first got Ida, I realised, ‘oh, I’m going to have a greyhound for the rest of my life.’ And that’s still definitely true.

They’ve moved their extremely popular adoption day online, which means that you can Zoom into a chat with both a GAP employee and a new potential dog buddy. There, you’ll be able to ask questions, see the dog’s quirks, and arrange to have a follow-up meeting.

Adoption Day will happen over Zoom on October 24, from 10am to 3:30pm. Spots are limited, so get in fast.
