Greta Thunberg Has Gloriously Trolled Donald Trump On His Last Day As President

If "waiting in the tall grass" was a person, it would be Greta Thunberg.

It’s official. Donald Trump is thankfully no longer President of the United States.

With Joe Biden being sworn in today as the 46th US President, former president Donald Trump had to vacate the White House ahead of his arrival.

Walking across the White House lawn for the final time yesterday, Trump and former First Lady Melania were captured entering the Marine One helicopter to start the Trump family’s much overdue return to Florida.

But with a truly disgraceful end to his presidency due to a second impeachment and the petty refusal to even attend his successor’s inauguration, Trump is clearly at his lowest point. So, naturally, environmental activist Greta Thunberg decided it best to kick Trump when he was down. Again.

Alongside an image of Trump boarding the helicopter, Thunberg paraphrased the former president’s own words back at him: “He seems like a very happy old man looking forward to a bright and wonderful future. So nice to see!”

Greta’s now-viral tweet is a copy of the statement Trump made about the climate activist back in 2019 following her speech at the 2019 UN Climate Action Summit.

During the speech, Thunberg passionately told world leaders that they had “stolen my dreams and my childhood with your empty words”.

“People are suffering, people are dying, entire ecosystems are collapsing,” Thunberg continued. “We are in the beginning of a mass extinction, and all you can talk about is money and fairy tales of eternal economic growth,”

But instead of taking on what the activist had to say, Trump sarcastically mocked Thunberg’s heartfelt speech by tweeting: “She seems like a very happy young girl looking forward to a bright and wonderful future. So nice to see!”

Coping the dig on the chin at the time, proving just how unbothered she was by it all, Thunberg ended up just quietly changing her Twitter bio to “a very happy young girl looking forward to a bright and wonderful future” in response.

But it seems this was all part of her masterplan to troll Trump years later, when he was at his absolute lowest: His last day as President of the United States.

And somehow the dunk wasn’t even the best part. Instead, it’s the fact that Donald Trump can’t even respond because he’s been permanently suspended from Twitter.

This is not the first time Greta Thunberg has used Donald Trump’s own words to dunk on him, either.

Back in November, Thunberg trolled Trump as he had a public meltdown over the alleged “voter fraud” going on during the “rigged” election. As Trump tweeted that the vote counting needed to be stopped, Thunberg simply told the then-President that he “must work on his Anger Management problem”.

This is, of course, the same dig that Donald Trump, a grown man, used on Greta Thunberg, a literal child, in 2019 when she was announced as Time’s Person of the Year.

What a beautiful way to end a horrific four years!
