Netflix has cast Gillian Anderson as former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher in The Crown, and I gotta tell you, the internet is not coping at all.

The news that the star of The X-Files and the recent Sex Education would play one of the most hated politician’s in UK history broke over the weekend, and immediately sent social media into a tailspin as users tried to reconcile their (understandable) hatred of Thatcher with their (also understandable) crush on Anderson.

It’ll be a little while before we get to see Anderson’s take on the politician, with Thatcher not set to appear until season four.

In the meantime, season three of The Crown hits Netflix on November 17 with a whole new cast, including Olivia Coleman taking over from Claire Foy as Queen Elizabeth, Tobias Menzies taking over from Matt Smith as Prince Phillip, and Helena Bonham Carter taking over from Vanessa Kirby as Princess Margaret.
