Cartoons and video games, they’re a match made in heaven. Add a bowl of cereal, a couch, your underpants and maybe a cute cat to silently cuddle up beside you for a couple of hours, and you have the greatest (also, possibly depressingly saddest) day imaginable.

If it’s not already, this magnificent scenario could become your reality later this year. Earlier today, games publisher D3P announced a couple of new releases based on the popular Cartoon Network titles, Adventure Time and Regular Show.

The incredibly titled Adventure Time: Explore The Dungeon Because I DON’T KNOW! will mark the franchise’s second foray into the video game biz, following the last 3DS installment, Adventure Time: Hey Ice King! Why’d You Steal Our Garbage?. This one’s being expanded across a bunch of platforms including Xbox 360, PS3, Wii U and PC, as well as the 3DS, and features a whole new storyline in which Finn, Jake, Marceline, Cinnamon Bun and the rest of the gang join forces to save Candy Kingdom from the evil dwellers of a mysterious Secret Royal Dungeon. We imagine it’ll include some wobbly arm dancing, too.

Meanwhile, Regular Show: Mordecai And Rigby In 8-Bit Land is the first video game featuring the beloved blue-jay, raccoon and psychotically tense gumball machine. Designed for the 3DS with close collaboration from creator JG Quintel, the game will see Mordecai and Rigby transported into their favourite games. So we assume it’ll look like something this kid made in Minecraft?

The games are all due for “a fall release” in the States, which, according to Science, is our springtime.
