Florence Pugh is one of the most talented performers of her generation — and as it turns out, those specialised set of skills extend beyond just acting and into making marmalade, too.

Pugh won the attention of the world last year with the one-two punch of her work in Little Women and Midsommar, the former of which nabbed her a highly coveted Academy Award nomination.

That global domination is set to continue this year with the release of Black Widow, in which she stars, making a neat jump from the indie world to the mainstream. You’ll be hearing about nothing but Pugh for the next decade at least, I promise you.

In the meantime, if you hop over to Pugh’s Instagram, where she posts often, you’ll get to soak up the joy of the actress merely existing in the world. Prior Instagram adventures have included giving a cactus a haircut and speaking out against invasive camera phone filters — but the newest adventure involving marmalade has taken off in a whole different way.

See, yesterday, Pugh took to the app to demonstrate her method for making marmalade, involving lots of sugar and a punnet of beautiful-looking oranges — which the actress at one point called “tomatoes”.

Of course, in the pop culture consciousness, marmalade is the domain of one creature only — the adorable Paddington Bear — so within minutes, Twitter users were making jokes about the two celebrities teaming up.

There were so many Pughdington memes going around, in fact, that eventually the bear himself got involved.

…And very quickly, Pugh responded.

Truly this is the feel-good story of the year so far.

So just get ready for the release of Paddington 3, now definitely starring one Ms. Florence Pugh.
