Fetch The Bolt Cutters, the new album by Fiona Apple, is receiving some of the best reviews of the musician’s career. Critics are ecstatic — and so are meme-makers around the world, who have responded to the off-kilter masterwork by refashioning and reshaping it.

We’ve already had a whole bunch of memes flood the internet in the week since the album was released. But now, one enterprising musician with the Twitter handle @actualawry has taken that even further, and has mashed-up the album’s opening track with ‘Run Away With Me’ by Carly Rae Jepsen.

And the results are, quite frankly, astonishing.

Finding the absolute midpoint between Jepsen’s poppy, glossy style, and Apple’s creaky ‘I Want You To Love Me’, the remix is a banger with an edge. It’s possibly the only song you’ve ever heard that’ll make you want to head straight to the centre of the dancefloor, and then, when you get there, contemplate the nature of mortality and the mistakes that you’ve made.

Think I’m overselling it?

Just have a listen to the work of art yourself:

See? A true masterpiece, worthy of the Fiona Apple album that spawned it.

For those after the full version, here it is in all of its glittering, spangled glory.
