Great news for anyone who wanted to see more of Michael B. Jordan after his phenomenal work in Black Panther. HBO has just unveiled the first full trailer for Fahrenheit 451, and your new favourite movie star is front and centre.

Adapted by critically acclaimed filmmaker Ramin Bahrani from Ray Bradbury’s iconic novel of the same name, Fahrenheit 451 takes place in a dystopian world in which books have been outlawed. Jordan plays protagonist Guy Montag, a “fireman” tasked with burning illegal books, who begins to have doubts about his profession.

The feature-length TV movie also stars Michael Shannon, from Man of Steel and The Shape of Water, as Montag’s fanatical superior Captain Beatty. It’s his voice we hear in the trailer calling for “news” and “facts” to be incinerated, just in case the parallels between the source material and modern-day politics weren’t already apparent.

The film also stars Sofia Boutella, Laura Harrier and YouTube star Lilly Singh.

Fahrenheit 451 hits HBO in the United States in May.
