Today is the 75th Emmy Awards and Junkee is covering all the weird, wonderful, and wacky things we saw on the red carpet. Out of all the glitzy glam and beautiful gowns, there was one look that’s been trapped in my head. I’m talking about the Emmys Green Goblin, of course.

I mean, just look at this queen. Literally, it’s a drag queen. None other than the icon from RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 15: Princess Poppy.

Princess Poppy is known and loved by fans for being a bit of a troll but she’s taken it to a whole new level for the Emmys. In a superficial world where all that matters is beauty, Princess Poppy is teaching us all a valuable lesson. “If you can’t love yourself how in the hell are you going to love somebody else?” I think the modern day poet RuPaul said that.

But a beautiful green goblin wasn’t the only highlight from this year’s Emmys red carpet.

Yellowjackets Girls Are Getting The Love They Deserve

Please win all the awards, my favourite soccer players.

Ayo Edebiri Looks Like A Very Expensive Douche

I mean this with all the love and respect in the world but I could not get my gay brain to see Ayo’s dress as anything other than a douche. A very beautiful douche, of course.

The LGBTQIA+ Mafia Are Showing Us How It’s Done

One thing the queers are going to do at an awards show is serve.

Princesses!

I feel like I’m watching a Disney princess reunion.

Acknowledging The World Outside The Awards

The dissonance between Hollywood and the world outside is always uncomfortable. But Khalid Abdalla from The Crown used his platform to remind people of the very real destruction being caused in Gaza as these awards take place.
