I Regret To Inform You The Duo Lingo Owl Has Entered Her Porn Era

We live in the most cursed timeline.

I regret to inform you that we’ve officially reached the capitalism porn era of society and I truly, truly hate it here.

There are very few brands with a more noteworthy social media presence than Duo Lingo. The brand — and its iconic owl mascot — nailed TikTok because of its and ability to hop on the latest trends faster than most creators, and its penchant for simple, pure, chaos. But its most recent video — in collaboration with Scrub Daddy, the dishwashing sponge brand — is too much for innocent eyes to handle.

Dubbed with the sound of The Wanted’s ‘Glad You Came’, Duo Lingo’s social media manager has chosen horny violence and forced us all to watch what is, quite literally, mascot porn.

Considering Scrub Daddy also has a particularly cursed social media presence, it’s not all that surprising to see the two collaborate, but the question must be asked: did they need to make it this horny? If the thought of an anthropomorphic owl having sex with a dishwashing sponge has you ready to shuffle off this mortal coil, I regret to inform you: it gets worse.

In news that absolutely nobody asked for, the team at Duo Lingo also cursed us with footage of the owl giving birth to owl-versions of the Scrub Daddy. Honestly, it gives the same energy as the scene from Shrek when we all had to come to terms with the fact that Donkey and Dragon somehow managed to have sex.

But in proof that sex sells, the video has already received a whopping 1.3 million likes and has been viewed by 4.9 million people, who are probably all still living with nightmares after watching.

It remains unclear why exactly the Duo Lingo wakes up every day and decides to choose absolute chaos on social media, but I am happy to let it slide considering its antics are helping us all to learn foreign languages.
