‘Drunk History Australia’ Is Now Streaming, And We’ll Cheers To That
Drunkenly slurring rants about Australian history alone in your living room? That's 2020 culture.
Cult classic TV show Drunk History may have just been cancelled over in the US, but it’s getting a new life in Australia, as our own comedians down some drinks while discussing important Australians.
Airing on Channel 10 from next week, Drunk History Australia will see a set of comedians trace the stories of some of our most famous historical icons and moments while having a drink or three.
It’ll lead to some pretty loose retellings, acted out by the likes of Osher Günsberg, James Mathison, Susie Youssef, Stephen Curry and more.
Stories tackled include the lives of Don Bradman, Dame Nellie Melba, and ill-fated colonial figures Burke & Wills, as well as Gough Whitlam’s dismissal. Anne Edmonds, Becky Lucas, Matt Okine, Brendon Fevola, Nikki Osborne and more are in charge of the tipsy retellings.
It starts airing on 10 on Monday 14 September, but all six episodes are available to stream now on 10 Play. Watch the trailer below.
