Donald Trump Just Lost A Huge Court Case And His Dumb Tweet About It Is Already A Great Meme

You know what’s even better than Donald Trump getting his ass handed to him in court? Donald Trump getting his ass handed to him in court, then posting a dumb angry tweet about it that gets ripped apart by the internet in minutes and becomes a glorious, glorious meme.
That’s right everyone, US politics is kind of good again.
This morning a federal appeals court upheld an earlier court decision to suspend Trump’s immigration ban. The immigration executive order has been blocked by judges all over the country, but today was the first time the issue had come before a higher level court after the first judgements were appealed by the Trump administration.
Or to put it another way, Trump signed his executive order, some courts struck it down, Trump appealed and lost. All three judges in today’s hearing sided against Trump.

Trump has already hinted that he’ll take the issue all the way to the Supreme Court, which means lodging another appeal. And this was his response to today’s decision:

To get across how serious Trump is about SEEING YOU IN COURT, The White House even posted about it on Instagram.
Imagine being The White House staffer whose job it is to turn Trump tweets into Instagram posts. What a bleak life.
Because the internet is a brilliant and terrifying force, “SEE YOU IN COURT” is already a wonderful, wonderful meme.

The immigration ban will stay suspended until the issue is referred to the Supreme Court. We don’t know exactly when that will happen, but given Trump’s tweet/Instagram/scream into the void (probably) it’s a very likely outcome.
