Want to meet Donald Glover? All you have to do is be a Girl Scout and make an extremely adorable cover of ‘Redbone’ in an attempt sell your cookies.
That’s what absolute cutie Charity Joy did a couple of weeks with her dad, who raps under the moniker Daddy Mo. They changed up the words of ‘Redbone’, dropped under Glover’s musical alter ego Childish Gambino, to advertise Charity’s delicious Girl Scout products.

The video was noticed by The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, who had Donald Glover on the show as a guest.
After playing a section of the video for Glover, Colbert went full Ellen and announced that Charity was in the audience… and when Glover realised that Charity still has to sell 113 cookies to reach her target, he didn’t blink:
“I’ll take them all.”
Colbert interviewed Glover ahead of Atlanta’s second season premiere on FX on 1 March. It airs tonight in Australia on SBS, and you can be streamed on SBS On Demand.
