Nothing like a couple of gentle boys taking gentle bites.

We all know dogs go nuts when they see food.

Honestly, unless your dog has any form of self control, good luck eating anything peacefully again. And you can’t blame them either, it’s just what animals do.

But apparently there actually are dogs in the world, who know how to show some restraint because the latest TikTok trend is dog owners getting their pets to take a “small, gentle bites” of whatever it is they’re eating — and the results are pure injections of serotonin.

Take this pug going for the tiniest nibble of a star-shaped chicken nugget, for example.

The trend was started by @jvzmin.s, who had her dog, Sosa, take a tiny nibble of her sandwich at the end of June.

Since then, over 20,000 dog owners on TikTok have used Jazmin’s audio to test whether their dogs have the same self-control as Sosa. As it turns out, while each dog had their own unique gentle bite technique, most were able to (adorably) do as they were told.

However, some breeds expectedly did better than others.

After the trend blew up on TikTok, @spicymaa reposted the star-shaped chicken nugget video to Twitter where it went viral again. From here, people on Twitter decided to test their dog’s small bite abilities to less successful results.

But after people saw the undeniably wholesome videos, everyone just had one question on their lips: Did these people eat the rest of their food after letting their dogs slobber all over it? And the answer is, yeah probably. Dog owners really don’t care about contamination when it comes to their pets.

Anyway, even though the trend is a little gross when you sit down and think about it, I hope you enjoyed the quick serotonin rush.
