The Dog From ‘Cooking With Dog’ Has Passed Away At The Age Of 14
RIP Francis.
The internet lost one of its brightest stars yesterday, after the beloved canine co-host of Japanese web series Cooking with Dog passed away.
The sad news came via an announcement on the show’s Facebook page. “Our host Francis passed away this afternoon,” it read. “He was 14 years and 9 months old and lived a full, happy life. Over the past 9 years, he was loved by viewers all over the world and we would like to thank you for your kindness and support. Francis was the happiest dog we have ever met and he brought us so many good memories. He was a good friend and will be missed.”
Francis rose to fame in 2007 as the eponymous pooch in the popular YouTube cooking show. Together, he and his unnamed human co-host have schooled more than 1.25 million subscribers in the art of Japanese cuisine. Here they are in one of their most recent videos cooking spicy spare ribs with black vinegar and honey.
Rest in peace Francis. You will be missed.
