Chris Evans Is The Latest Dog-Owner To Completely Screw Up A DIY Grooming Attempt

These dogs don't deserve this.

Now we’re reaching the two-month mark of the world going into a COVID-19 lockdown, dog owners, including Chris Evans, are learning fast that dog grooming isn’t as easy as it looks.

Evans’ rescue dog Dodger was in desperate need of a trim, but Captain America (who may secretly be a Golden Retriever himself) accidentally gave him a patch-job instead.

“I assured him I knew what I was doing. He seemed skeptical at first, but with the help of a few treats, I talked him into it,” he wrote, sharing a photo on Twitter.

“It went so wrong, so fast. I guess some things are better left to the professionals. (He hasn’t seen a mirror yet. I told him it looks great).”

Evans is far from the only person to fuck up a home-grooming. Last week, Sydneysider Hermoine Underwood had her attempt at trimming back pomeranian Mashi’s mane go viral after she transformed her adorable dog into a mangy pint-sized kangaroo.

We hate to laugh at an animal’s appearance, but there is nothing funnier than a dog’s bad haircut. At least for Dodger and Mashi, they’re far from alone — across social media, dog owners are sharing their so-so attempts at DIY dog-cuts.
