Delta Goodrem is an Australian institution.

For over a decade now, she’s been one of Australia’s most important — and strangest — pop icons. Moreover, she’s hit something of a stride recently. Her singles, dropped over the last few months, have been impeccable; throwbacks to an older style of music-making, and drawing on influences as diverse as soul and the Beatles.

And wouldn’t you know it, even her covers have been good. She’s spent almost half a year performing a set of bangers from her home as part of a series she called “The Bunkerdown Sessions”, and now, just as excitingly, she’s dropped a cover of John Farnham’s ‘You’re The Voice’ — recorded live as part of last weekend’s Music From The Home Front gig.

Two Australian icons, together at last? We’ll take it, thank you very much.
