Linda Cardellini Stans Rise, ‘Dead To Me’ Has Been Renewed For A Third And Final Season
Not sure if I should smile or cry.
Dead To Me fans, it’s time to smile and cry as Netflix just announced that the dark comedy will come back for a third season — but it will also be the last.
While this announcement might spell the end for our favourite dysfunctional besties, Jen and Judy, Variety reports that Netflix has also announced that series creator, Liz Feldman, has signed a multi-year deal for other original series and projects.
Sadly, this does mean that we have to say goodbye to Christina Applegate, James Marsden and the internet’s latest obsession, Linda Cardellini, for now. But not before we find out what happens to the on-again-off-again friends, who’s lives were turned upside down with Season 2’s shock cliffhanger.

If you need a quick refresher, the end of Season 2 saw Jen confess to killing Judy’s ex, Steve. But after being unable to find the body in the woods, Detective Perez let Jen go back to her family.
After returning home, Jen and Judy decided to buy Charlie his own car with the money Judy recovered in the back of her artwork. As the pair happily drove home, Steve’s twin brother, Ben, crashed into the pair after relapsing on his sobriety.
Before the credits rolled, we saw that both Jen and Judy were still alive. But because those two can never catch a break, we also saw that a dog walker potentially stumbled upon Steve’s remains by the tree that Judy carved a heart into.
I will miss these ladies. But we felt this was the best way to tie up the story of these women. Thank you to all the fans. We will be getting back to work when it is safe to do so. Much love https://t.co/tJXf31EDhe

Chatting about the series, Liz Feldman explained that Dead To Me was everything she could’ve imagined it to be.
“From start to finish, Dead to Me is exactly the show I wanted to make and it’s been an incredible gift,” Feldman said in a statement.
“Telling a story sprung from grief and loss has stretched me as an artist and healed me as a human. I’ll be forever indebted to my partners in crime, my friends for life, Christina and Linda, and our brilliantly talented writers, cast and crew,” she continued. “I am beyond grateful to Netflix for supporting Dead To Me from day one, and I’m thrilled to continue our collaboration.”
