Perfect Angel David Pocock Just Got Married, Keeping His Promise To Wait For Marriage Equality
They said they'd wait for equality, and they did.
The last few years have made it very, very hard to have male idols, but if there’s one non-probbo bloke to hitch your moral wagon to it has to be rugby star, activist and the very-recently-married legend David Pocock.
In addition to being a beast on the field, starring for the ACT Brumbies and the Wallabies, Pocock often makes headlines for his proudly progressive beliefs and guerrilla activism. Here’s that time he rinsed Tony Abbott on immigration policy and look that time he straight up chained his perfect muscles to farm equipment to protest coal mining.
I just wanted to put this pic here for… reasons.
Despite being a committed Christian, some of Pocock’s most recognisable activism over the years has been in the field of same-sex marriage. He contributed in numerous ways to the campaign for equality, years before the plebiscite was even being discussed, even going as far as promising to not wed his long-time fiancée Emma Palandri until queer folk could get hitched country-wide.
Well just over a year after the marriage equality campaign thankfully came to a successful conclusion, David and Emma have finally tied the knot in what looks like the chillest wedding of 2018.

Posting just three pics of their decidedly un-glam wedding to Twitter, Pocock proudly announced he’d married his best mate and our hearts are quite simply soaring with joy.
Dressed in super casual clothes the couple tied the knot in front of a (no doubt beloved) big tree before strolling off for some sunset tinnies courtesy of their own classic blue esky.
Honestly? Beautiful.

“Just got married byeeeeee”.
