Well, looks like Danny DeVito and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, rising star of the democratic party, just broke the internet.

Both figures have become adored internet memes over the last few years. DeVito is, of course, a storied actor and director, well-known for his roles in It’s Always Sunny in PhiladelphiaMatilda and as a comic relief to Arnold Schwarzenegger in the ’90s. He’s also a long-time champion of political reform and democratic socialism, repeatedly weighing in to support Bernie Sanders.

Ocasio-Cortez has, surprisingly, a pretty similar story. She too is a beloved American public figure who has pushed for socialist revolution in America — though, she’s done that by becoming a senator, and by repeatedly campaigning against injustice and exploitation in all of its forms.

So, when the two met — well, the internet’s excitement was palpable.

It’s not clear when or where this picture was taken. DeVito looks like he’s wearing the clothes that he can be seen in a campaign video he made for Sanders in January of this year, and those trailers look like the ones captured in the same video.

The Bernie connection makes sense as the thing that brought the two together, as well. Ocasio-Cortez has campaigned heavily for the Vermont-based senator, who is currently running for President (viva socialism!)  so it’s entirely possible that this is an older photograph.

In any case, who cares exactly when this was from. When a treat like this falls into your lap, you do not question it. You simply turn it into memes.

Truly this is a blessed meeting of minds, and more proof, if any was needed, as to the way that Bernie Sanders can bring people together — even folks as seeming disparate as Danny DeVito and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
