Courtney Barnett And Kurt Vile Share The First Single From Their Collaborative Album
--
If there was ever a project that deserved the tagline “Two Legends, One Album”, this would be it.
Melbourne’s Courtney Barnett and Philadelphia songwriter Kurt Vile have just shared ‘Over Everything’, the first taste of the joint album they have coming out later this year.
The track comes accompanied by a video care of Danny Cohen, the director who has previously worked magic for the likes Kirin J Callinan and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard. See it below.
As for the album, Barnett and Vile revealed that it’s titled Lotta Sea Lice, and it will hit shelves on October 13 via Matador and Barnett’s own label Milk Records.
We know a little bit about the record already: it’ll include a Barnett cover of Vile’s track ‘Peepin’ Tomboy’ and a Vile cover of Barnett’s ‘Outta The Woodwork’, as well as versions of Belly’s ‘Untogether’ and fellow Melburnian Jen Cloher’s song ‘Fear Is Like A Forest’.
