Commercialised-Nostalgia Train Keeps Chugging With Return Of Allen’s Jelly Tots

Following Golden Gaytime fan Jesse James McElroy’s one point two-five litre tub victory last month, and the various other nostalgia-based confectionary comebacks because capitalism (but also because sugar > everything else), Aussie confectionary manufacturing veteran Allen’s has announced the return of old favourite Jelly Tots.
After being gone for a very long decade, the tiny piles of jelly are back, but without all those old-school artificial colours (*single tear*) and with a bonus spin-off version, Tangy Tots. As you can see from the revamped packaging pictured below, the tots themselves are also very happy about the decision.
LOOK AT THEIR TINY STOKED JELLY FACES. THE TANGY TOTS HAVE EVEN FORMED A LIL’ JELLY CONGA LINE.
Whether it was born from a ploy to appease the masses after they cut the Killer Python in half (never forget) and took away beloved Spearmint Leaves and Green Frogs, or a direct result of 300 or so people ‘liking’ the “Bring Back Allen’s Jelly Tots” Facebook page, the company simply says the sugary bite-sized nostalgia triggers are back “by popular demand”.
