If the celebrities who all sang 'Imagine' was unintentionally very funny, then this is intentionally very serious.

Comedians, by their very nature, but their very FUNCTION are meant to be funny. That’s literally their one job.

But — it’s hard to come up with jokes in the middle of a pandemic. It’s all pretty grim! Yikes.

Luckily for us, a whole bunch of Australia’s favourite comedians have all gotten together over various video programs, and have come up with a PSA about the coronavirus.

And let me tell you, the results are HILARIOUSLY… important.

No seriously, just watch this fucking video and listen. There’s no jokes, just solid, measured advice. If comedians — the chuckleheads of nature, life’s fart joke, the human prat-falls of society — are taking it seriously, then you can too.

If the celebrities who all sang ‘Imagine’ was unintentionally very funny, then this is intentionally very serious.

Comedians getting serious about coronavirus

So I asked all these comedians to sing "imagine" but instead they all said useful facts about the coronavirus. Weird, huh?Anyway, here is a simple explanation on how coronavirus spreads, the impact it could have on Australia and what you can do to stop it. Put together by comedian Nina Oyama (Tonightly, Utopia), the video just states exactly why we should be taking this pandemic seriously, and what we should be doing together to help it finish.

“If you didn’t know, coronavirus has caused deaths all over the world,” begins comedian Nazeem Hussain. “At the time of this video, it has claimed the lives of 37,000 people.”

And the lack-of-laughs keep coming, with comedians including Jordan Raskopoulos, Matt Okine, Cal Wilson, Gen Fricker and more, all clearly stating some facts and figures.

Junkee asked Nina Oyama if, along with the advice and facts in this video, if there was anything she could broadcast to the entire world about the coronavirus pandemic, what would it be?

“In these trying times, I have learned literally anything can become a dildo,” she told us.
