Chris Lilley Is A Rick Ross-Rapping Turtle In This New Stafford Brothers Clip, For Some Reason
Just go with it.
Earlier this year, Chris and Matt Stafford — swaggering amalgamations of every dudebro DJs stereotype in the world/apparent Gold Coast EDM prodigies I should have heard of before now — approached comedian Chris Lilley to work on their new music video. Speaking to news.com.au about the project, Lilley said he was intrigued. Though he gets so many requests to do things like this, this was one of the few that was offering him full control.
That may have been a mistake.
The resulting film clip, released this morning via Funny or Die, features Chris Lilley dressed as a despondent 30-something dental hygienist who dreams of being a pop star. After the character undergoes a full Ja’mie makeover and is supported by a group of dental-themed backup dancers, she’s joined on set by a giant mustachioed turtle who like gold chains and rapping Rick Ross lyrics about jizz and ass-tickling.
Despite never having met the duo beforehand, he also chose to impersonate the Stafford Brothers based on YouTube clips he’d seen of them jumping around like idiots — another move the artists were totally on board with.
We've never looked better! The video is now live! Check out @chrislilley's interview here > http://t.co/Xxcon1HUNV pic.twitter.com/6xXfzYQihv

All this is to say: Chris Lilley has a much, much better job than you do.
