In the hotly anticipated lead-up to Avengers: Infinity War, Chris Evans has taken a walk down memory lane and shared some extremely cool behind-the-scenes footage from 2013’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

Chris Evans who plays the all-American cake of beef known as Captain America has a great and pure social media, and it’s extremely on brand for him to share some cool extras with his fans, such as these awesome never-before-seen videos of him training. Let’s hope his nostalgia isn’t a part of him saying farewell to his tenure as Captain America…

It’s sometimes easy to forget that actual human beings have to do all the running, leaping and fighting as the superheroes they are playing do in the films — and without the benefit of super strength or fancy muscle serum.

So, it’s actually quite awe inspiring to watch the level of training and rehearsal and SKILL it takes in order to prepare for a choreographed fight scene, like the one below.

Honestly, gyms should run a ‘fight scene choreography from superhero films’ class, this looks incredibly hard.

One of the most iconic scenes in The Winter Soldier involves the moment when Hydra turned forces from within S.H.I.E.L.D try to ambush Cap in an elevator, leading to one of the best close-quarters fight scenes on screen.

Evans also showed his preparations for the brilliant elevator fight, which ends up kinda looking like a flash-mob:

Bonus points if you can spot Australia’s Drazic in the second video.

Now, watch the end result — fucking amazing right? This was an extremely good film.

Also, his training sessions are really fun with a bit of music behind them.
