Tom Hanks’ Cursed Son Chet Has Tried To Help Adele By…Hitting On Her?
It's all very odd.
I’m afraid the time has once again come for us to speak of Chet Hanks, Tom Hanks’ cursed son.
We all know Tom Hanks. He is a nice, congenial man with a good smile who everyone kinda secretly wants to be their dad. Well, what the experiment known as Chet Hanks supposes is, what if instead of being those things, a Hanks was instead a jugful of blended Monster and locker room sweat?
Last time we spoke of Chet, who is also a rapper, he had just dropped some Jamaican patois on the red carpet. Jamaican Patois is an English-based Creole language that it is definitely not okay for a very white man to use. But use it he did.

This time, Chet is back in the news for… Well, dropping some Jamaican patois. Again. To defend Adele.
See, you might remember that Adele recently got called out for cultural appropriation for the outfit that she dropped on her Instagram. If you need your memory jogged, that outfit looks like this:
“Black people have been through enough in 2020.”

Presumably trying to help Adele out, Chet dropped a video message dedicated to her in which he asks her to call him, for, uh, reasons?
He also says that she looks nice, which is I suppose his version of a defence of the outfit. But the whole thing is just… Odd.

Really nothing more to say that hasn’t already been covered by one of the most-liked Tweets posted in reply to this video: “this man NEEDS to locate shame.”
Or this Tweet from writer Jourdain Searles, which about covers it:
trying to reconcile my support for prison abolition with my burning need for chet hanks to be jailed for culture crimes

Truly we live in wild times.
