Black Panther star Chadwick Boseman has surprised fans of the movie during an almost impossibly heartwarming clip on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.

The set-up involves members of the public filming messages for Boseman about what Black Panther meant to them. For many of the participants, the movie held special significance because of the way it represented people of African heritage.

“As an entrepreneur of colour, this movie made me realise that our stories need to be told,” said one young woman, an aspiring filmmaker. “There’s so many of us out here who are trying to create great things, and I was just so inspired as someone who wants to make movies one day.”

“I’ve seen it four times,” admitted another fan. “I do have a life, but I saw it four times.”

What the participants didn’t know was that Boseman was actually standing behind a curtain waiting to introduce himself.

The clip is six minutes long, and I highly recommend watching the entire thing. It is guaranteed to make your day one thousand percent better.
