Billie Eilish Met Justin Bieber At Coachella, And The Video Exudes A Weird Energy

We're not sure why we're surprised, really.

One day after playing Coachella’s penultimate Saturday night set, Billie Eilish has ticked off another bucket list item: meeting Justin Bieber, though the meeting, by where we’re standing, was incredibly odd.

The two met during Ariana Grande’s headlining set, which wrapped up the first weekend of the 3-day festival, and saw appearances from *NSYNC (minus Justin Timberlake) as well as mic-issue riddled cameos from Nicki Minaj, Diddy and Mase.

Turns out Bieber — who recently announced a semi-hiatus from making music — was in the VIP crowd, and found himself standing next to Eilish, who, as she said on The Ellen Show recently, is a massive, massive Belieber.

DeGeneres even did a classic secretly quite-mean Ellen prank and pretended she had Bieber backstage, which she did not.

But now, the two pop prodigies have met. In the video, a Louis Vuitton suit-donned Eilish stares down a face-mask-wearing Bieber for a minute before the two hug. Despite Eilish’s fans freaking out about the moment, the whole thing feels a bit weird to us? Perhaps this is merely what happens when game recognises game.

Please enjoy this odd-but-sweet moment between two of contemporary pop’s most conventionally odd oddballs.

After Coachella next weekend, Eilish flies to Australia to play regional festival Groovin The Moo, and a series of sideshows. Judging by her set yesterday, which blitzed through her “beautiful disaster” of a debut album, When We Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?, it’ll be huge.
