Barack Obama Finally Gets His Own Twitter; Is Immediately Dad-Joked By Bill Clinton

It finally happened. After six years as the most powerful person on earth, someone finally let US President Barack Obama get a Twitter account of his very own. The @POTUS account went live a few hours ago, and its inaugural tweet broke the internet, more or less.

Hello, Twitter! It’s Barack. Really! Six years in, they’re finally giving me my own account.

Barack Obama has his own Twitter account. He hasn’t asked for followers yet because he probably doesn’t want to @POTUS on the spot.

He’s new, so Obama probably doesn’t realise you don’t need to respond to *every* rando who sends you a message. He’ll learn.
