Hip-hop duo A.B. Original – aka Briggs and Trials – have returned with a brand new video for the latest single from 2016’s Australian Music Prize-winning album Reclaim Australia.

‘Report to The Mist’ is a powerful, aggressive track about police brutality toward aboriginal communities across the country – and the video reflects this with poignant, graphic visuals. The clip addresses the Royal Commission into Aboriginal Deaths in Custody, which took place under Bob Hawke’s leadership 30 years ago this year.

The pair have launched a website, www.reporttothemist.com, to accompany the video. It features alarming statistics and harrowing information about Indigenous mortality and incarceration rates. “We should be reducing imprisonment rates through changes to policing, laws and policies,” the website states.

A.B. Original will open for Ice-T’s rap-metal group Body Count on their upcoming Australian tour, along with metal group Void of Vision.
