Aziz Ansari Ranked His Favourite Kanye Albums And We’re Not Sure How To Feel
Where's '808s and Heartbreaks' at, Aziz?
In a new video interview with Vogue, Aziz Ansari answered dozens of very important questions — questions about the Met Gala, Beyoncé, his favourite DJ (Questlove) and one of his favourite topics: Kanye West.
Vogue asked Aziz to rank Kanye’s albums from best to worst and he quickly obliged — though we’re not quite sure how to feel about some of his choices.
Sharing first place is 2012’s My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy and Jay Z collab Watch The Throne, while Yeezus and The Life of Pablo tie for second place. Graduation, The College Dropout and Late Registration take out third, fourth and fifth respectively — and 808s and Heartbreak doesn’t feature at all. What gives, Aziz?
This isn’t the first time Ansari’s gone on record about his love of Kanye West. One of his favourite anecdotes — which he also recalled in the Vogue interview — is about that night ‘Ye invited him to hang out with him and Jay Z at a nightclub. After the club, Aziz went to Kanye’s house… only to walk in on him listening to his own album, 808s and Heartbreak.
Ansari also borrowed Kanye’s tour name and artwork back in 2008 (both were called Glow In The Dark), though Kanye didn’t seem to mind:

He also has a hilariously out-of-place cameo in Kanye and Jay Z’s ‘Otis’ video clip, and even introduced Kanye to his parents at some point in 2013, resulting in what might be one of the strangest photos on the internet:
Most recently, Kanye and his Master of None co-star Eric Wareheim released a hysterical video for Kanye’s track ‘Famous’, which the rapper reportedly loved. (It’s a lot funnier and less controversial than the official ‘Famous’ video, that’s for sure.)
