The Directors Of ‘Avengers: Endgame’ Ask You To Please Keep Your Trap Shut About Spoilers
Their request comes days after a whole bunch of leaked 'Avengers: Endgame' footage hit the internet.
For every second we get closer to the release of Avengers: Endgame, the conclusion to the first chunk of the Marvel cinematic experiment, a thousand more spoilers hit the internet.
This happens with every highly anticipated piece of pop culture. Game of Thrones fans have had to spend the last few months navigating a quagmire of spoilers, rumours and downright falsehoods, just as Breaking Bad fans had to basically retire from the internet for a few weeks back before that series came to its bloody close. The internet is, after all, full of irritating people, and there’s nothing that irritating people enjoy more than shoving a spoiler right in your face when you least expect it.

But it’s definitely true that Avengers: Endgame has had more trolls determined to ruin its surprises than usual. A whole bunch of leaked footage is currently circulating around the internet, providing ample foil for internet drongos looking for any excuse to make nice things less nice.
To that end, the Russos, the sibling directing team behind Avengers: Endgame, have released a letter imploring fans to keep their silence.
“To the greatest fans in the world,” starts their letter, released via their Twitter account.
“Please know that the two of us, along with everyone involved in Endgame, have worked tirelessly for the last three years with the sole intention of delivering a surprising and emotionally powerful conclusion to the Infinity Saga.

“When you see Endgame in the coming weeks, please don’t spoil it for others, the same way you wouldn’t want it spoiled for you.”
It’s a lovely letter, expressing a kindly sentiment. Exactly how much it will do to divert the energies of a bunch of troublemakers seeking to ruin the fun of some unsuspecting Marvel fans simply looking to check Twitter or Reddit, remains to be seen.
