"He is working at the resort and selling timeshares. He is working at a cubicle."

Journalists have tracked down American actor Armie Hammer, who has apparently resurfaced in the Cayman Islands as a timeshare salesman.

A flyer adorned with the actor’s face made the rounds on social media last week appearing to promote Hammer’s services as a bellhop at a resort in the Caymans, after a spectacular fall from grace where he was accused of drinking human blood, rape, and sexual assault.

However, while the original flyer was disproven after a staff member told the media it had been created as a ‘prank’ to draw customers to the resort — a new twist in the tale appears to confirm that Hammer really does work there.

An unnamed source told Variety that Hammer — now extremely skint after his career tanked — has been selling timeshare packages for the Cayman Islands resort to help financially support his family and ex-wife. Although managers at the Morritt’s Resort denied Hammer was on their payroll, this new source claims that the hotel lied to protect Hammer.

“He is working at the resort and selling timeshares. He is working at a cubicle,” the source told Variety.  “The reality is he’s totally broke, and is trying to fill the days and earn money to support his family.”

This scenario explains why Hammer has been repeatedly photographed dressed in the hotel’s uniform, with witnesses alleging they had also seen the Call Me By Your Name star showing customers timeshare properties across the resort.

According to Variety, the source also alleged that prior to his job selling timeshares, Hammer had also been employed as manager for a local apartment complex in the Cayman Islands. And why do all of these obscure employment opportunities for the disgraced actor revolve around the Cayman Islands? The source alleges that Hammer wants to be close to his ex-wife and children, who live there locally.

Despite the wealth of evidence that suggests Armie Hammer appears to be selling timeshares in the Cayman Islands, Hammer and his management have denied actor is employed by the resort.

I’m not sure if this is what justice looks like, but I know there are definitely enough visual elements to this story to at least warrant this stage of Armie Hammers’s life being adopted into film — probably by Darren Aronofsky. Or maybe this is actually just promotional content for the upcoming season of White Lotus.
