In Honour Of ‘Ant-Man And The Wasp’, Let’s Revisit The Greatest Piece Of Movie Promo Ever
It's 16 seconds of magic.
We’ve got a lot of films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, all with very different flavours. You’ve got epic, heroic, cool, grandiose, and dark… and then you’ve got Ant-Man.
Ant-Man is a funny kind of hero, because he’s just a bit dumb and silly and he can control ants with his mind. Also, he’s very small.
Luckily, the original film and the new sequel Ant-Man and the Wasp have really leaned into the gentle absurdity of the franchise, poking well-meaning fun at just how small (pun intended) and relatively unimportant everything that happens in Ant-Man is compared to the other films.
They could have made the classic mistake of trying to pump up the film to seem more important and grim, but instead they’ve decided to use Paul Rudd and his handsome, age-immune face to just be a bit of a silly duffer. Good choice.

And while we’re appreciating the fact that they’ve basically created a franchise around how funny and cute and non-threatening Paul Rudd is, let’s go back and watch the greatest piece of movie promo that’s ever been invented.
Twitter user Walter.P has reminded the world of this perfect advertising featuring Paul Rudd and Michael Douglas, just being dorks. It’s 16 seconds long, just watch it.

Ant-Man and The Wasp is currently in cinemas, it’s probably quite fun.
