The Musicians Behind The ‘Animal Crossing’ Theme Reunited For A Socially Distanced Performance
Pure art.
We live in the era of the socially-distanced music performance. But even still, I bet you never expected that the musicians behind the iconic Animal Crossing theme song would get behind the trend.
Yep, in order to give us some joy to get through our difficult, disrupted lives, the musicians who laid the banging tune to tape recently got together over Zoom and bopped their way through the game’s most iconic piece of music.
Basically, it’s the most gentle socially-distanced performance of these crazy times in which we live.
It’s a balm, and you should drink up every last second of it — particularly the moment when the double bass comes swinging into the whole delightful mess.

Speaking of balms, how important has Animal Crossing become in your life? Personally, it has been a lifeline. After all, a game that prioritizes social connection and the importance of nature matters more than perhaps ever before in an age where we’re alone, and in our homes.
God bless that franchise, is what I’m saying — even its evil oligarch Tom Nook.
