Amy Schumer Won An Award From ‘Glamour’ Magazine And Her Speech Was Truly Exquisite
"I'm probably like 160 pounds right now and I can catch a dick whenever I want."
As the newly-ordained “biggest deal in comedy right now”, Amy Schumer is getting love from everyone at the moment; apparently even those she makes fun of. This week at a very glitzy ceremony in London, Schumer was deemed Trailblazer of the Year by fashion and lifestyle magazine Glamour.
True to form, she then took the stage alongside what appeared to be a very drunk Jennifer Saunders from Absolutely Fabulous, and launched into a strange meandering speech about puberty, vaginal discharge and how she “can catch a dick whenever [she] wants”.
“I’m very glamorous,” she said mere moments before becoming the first person at a Glamour event to utter the words “cum dumpster”.
During all this, Schumer was open about the awkwardness of the whole thing, praising Glamour for the respect they show women compared to some of their competitors. “I make fun of women’s magazines a lot, because they’re just great fodder,” she said. “Some of them just make you feel bad for being born with a pussy.”
It was an earnest admission and it’s obviously a good thing that Glamour don’t make women pose with giant dicks over their heads, but it’s probably worth mentioning that she’s been a little more critical than that in the past. In 2013, Inside Amy Schumer invented Glamo: the suspiciously familiar glossy mag that wants its readers to dress as boy scouts from the bottom down, sit on a man’s lap and queef.
She’s unstoppable.
