The 67th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards are going on in LA at the moment which means, for yet another year, our most talented and successful actors, writers and directors all just gathered before the world’s media to talk about fashion and beauty routines. Red carpets are weird.

But, in a similar vein to The Representation Project’s #AskHerMore campaign, fellow feminist organisation Amy Poehler’s Smart Girls made a huge effort this year to curb the inane questions hurled at women in particular. For the past week, the group’s been asking people to tweet in interesting or unconventional topics for discussion under the hashtag #SmartGirlsAsk and —with responses from Hillary Clinton and Shonda Rhimes among others — they just made the red carpet a whole lot more interesting.

Speaking to dozens of celebrities including Amy Poehler, Nick Offerman, Megan Mullally, Bob Odenkirk, Jimmy Fallon, and Ellie Kemper among others, the group chatted about charity, feminism and the entertainment industry in general.
