A Sydney artist has responded to the latest appalling bullshit from Alan Jones by painting a massive mural of the conservative shock jock with a ball gag shoved square in his gob. And honestly, it’s beautiful.

Scott Marsh painted the mural on a wall on the corner of Wellington and Regent St in Chippendale on Sunday morning, days after Jones said on 2GB Radio that Malcolm Turnbull should “shove a sock” down the throat of New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Arden for criticising Australia’s lack of action on climate change.

Speaking to news.com.au, Marsh said he was “not a huge fan of Alan Jones”, in case you hadn’t already figured that out.

“I thought [his comments about Ardern] were pretty distasteful, and he’s said a lot of things to that kind of effect in the past.”

“Alan’s got a pretty big ego I think, so we’ll see if he loves it or he hates it, I’m not quite sure yet,” Marsh added.

Marsh is no stranger to political artwork. He previously painted a mural depicting George Michael as a gay saint in support of marriage equality, a piece that was later destroyed by vandals. He also created controversy with a piece depicting ex-PM Tony Abbot with his hands down the front of George Pell’s pants.

Alan Jones has since walked back his remarks about Ardern, the latest in a long line of apologies that are worth less than nothing. His boss has since come out and promised that “any recurrence of commentary of this nature will result in the termination of [Jones’] contract”.

I’ll believe it when I see it.
