Oh My Glob, Here’s The Trailer For The Last Ever Episode Of ‘Adventure Time’
Come along with me... for one last time.
It didn’t seem possible, but the iconic animated series Adventure Time is actually ending! And judging from the teaser just released by Cartoon Network, it’s going to be an epic farewell to the land of Ooo.
We’ve known since 2016 that the long-running cartoon was set to end after season 10, but we had no idea exactly when that would be, or what form the ending would take.
The teaser reveals that the finale will centre around a climactic war between between Princess Bubblegum and her evil uncle, and will feature favourite characters and villains from all nine series of the show:
After the announcement that the show would be gradually wound up, Adventure Time creator Pendleton Ward said in a statement that the show was a “passion project” for everyone involved.
“We tried to put into every episode something genuine and telling from our lives, and make a show that was personal to us, and that had jokes too!” he said. “I’m really happy that it connected with an audience for so long. It’s a special thing, I think.”
A date for the finale hasn’t been set yet, but considering season 10 has been released in chunks of four episodes released every three months, it’ll probably be mid-June.
The cult show officially debuted on Cartoon Network in April 2010 and has aired over 142 half-hour episodes since then.
if bonnie and marcy don't kiss in the adventure time finale then what, pray tell, is the point
