We’re all a little guilty of going a bit too hard during a night out and while it’s fun in the moment, it definitely isn’t the following morning. No matter how many times we tell ourselves we’re never drinking like that again, we just can’t seem to help it. Enter: the worst hangovers known to man.

The only redeeming factor about having a killer headache and wanting to vom non-stop is being able to treat yourself without any guilt. Here’s some of the best ways to take care of yourself when you’re hung af.

#1 Have A Good Ol’ Netflix Binge

There’s a strong chance you won’t feel like moving just yet, so don’t. Now is a prime time to lie in bed and catch up on new episodes of your favourite shows, or re-watch an old favourite.

Binging some quality content is also a great way to distract yourself from how just crappy you’re feeling. Even though you’ve got a killer headache, at least you don’t live in Riverdale with an actual killer on the loose.

#2 Indulge In Some Online Shopping

There’s something therapeutic about mindlessly scrolling through an endless selection of clothes, accessories, and more. And being able to do all it from the comfort of your own bed is another added bonus.

Buy those shoes you’ve been eyeing off for a while, or stock up on all those fabulous sale items. You don’t have to spend big bucks either, just simply clicking that check out button will feel good enough to forget how terrible you’re feeling.

#3 Chow Down On Some Filthy Food

You already put your body through hell the night before, so what’s a little extra damage? Once you feel ready to stomach some food, it’s time to indulge in some greasy goodies. Pro tip: hit up Uber eats so you can jump back into bed as soon as you get your food.

For something that’s not supposed to be good for you, greasy food feels so damn good when you’re nursing a hangover. The only downfall is having to wait until 10.30am to be able to order a cheeseburger from Maccas.

#4 Pamper Your Skin

Hangovers always feel better after a nice, long shower, but you’ll feel even better spending a little extra time treating your skin. All those toxins you consumed last night will be trying to escape through your pores this morning so a deep cleanse will do you wonders.

Do an all-over exfoliating scrub, pop on a face mask, and lather up that moisturiser. You’ll feel as fresh as a daisy, and not at all like you need to lean over the toilet bowl.

#5 Sleep It Off

They say the best cure for a hangover is time, and the best way to pass time is to sleep through it. Sleep deprivation can also make a hangover worse, which is something no one wants.

Close the blinds, turn off your phone, snuggle under the blankets and treat yourself to a long, uninterrupted snooze (maybe with a bucket beside the best just in case). Hopefully when you wake up, the worst will have passed and you can go back to not feeling so miserable.
