With exams looming ever nearer we are bracing ourselves for the sleepless nights and unhealthy eating habits.

So to distract you from what you should be doing, here’s a list of memes that capture exam week struggles. Happy procrastination!

#1 Treating Yourself A Bit Too Early

We’ve all been there. As uni classes officially finish, you work up the strength to start cracking on to your notes.

You make a coffee, clear your study space, organise your highlighters, open your text book, read the first paragraph and…you know what? You’re doing so well for making a start.

It’s been five minutes, you deserve a break. *binges Netflix for 10 hours*

#2 When Coffee Is Life

It’s a sad day when coffee no longer wakes you up. As a student who lives off coffee during exam time, I rely on that bittersweet cup of joe to give me that half hour of motivation and energy.

It is my one and only plan for getting shit done and when that plan fails, guess who’s going to be repeating a unit?

#3 When You’re All By Yourself

It’s a lonely and frustrating time when you’re that last one to finish your exams. Everyone is planning trips, relaxing on the beach and can finally get excited for Christmas.

Meanwhile, you’re still stuck in your dark, coffee cup littered room and you haven’t seen the sun in three weeks. It’s not fair.

#4 When You’re Just Doing Your Best

Everybody gets to that point in their degree when they think, “I’m definitely not uni material”.

But you know what? You’re trying your best anyway and the fact that you even show up to the exam should be a pass in itself! (But seriously you should still study.)

You’re doing great, sweeties.

#5 When You’re Just Too Tired

Isn’t it hard enough that we’re expected to study all week without giving up our weekends too?

I mean I know weekends are good for catching up when you’re behind but come on, who actually does that? Weekends are for sleeping, procrastinating and hating yourself. And that’s the end of it.

#6 When We Pretend Not To Care

After some sleepless nights and mental breakdowns we get to that stage when we just say, “fuck it, I’ll just wing it!”

You do not, in fact, wing it but continue to frantically study your notes when you’re waiting outside the exam room. It feels good just to say it though.

#7 When You Have All The Wisdom In The World

You feel a sense of satisfaction as you finish making the palm cards that you haven’t even studied yet.

Wow! Look at you go! You’ve spent five minutes making the notes look pretty instead of actually studying them. And you even read out of your textbook for three whole minutes. Knowledge is the key to success.

#8 When You’re Proud Of Yourself

Sorry to all you guys that failed even though I only passed by one mark. I’m moving up in the world!

#9 When You’re Finally Free… But At What Cost?

It takes a few weeks after an exam to get back into the swing of things. You feel like you’ve always got an assignment to study for and you feel guilty for watching Netflix even though you don’t have to anymore!

You’re finally free and you can now sleep for a full eight hours.

#10 When You Must Persevere

Just remember, it will be a few weeks of hard work and tears, but keep at it and you’ll be glad that you pushed yourself through it!

We’ve got three month break to cry/sleep, so save the tears for you pillow and get that pass!
