Wonder Woman 1984 appears to be living up to its name, with director Patty Jenkins sharing a poster for the superhero sequel with some extremely rad 80s vibes.

The poster comes fresh on the heels of the news that Warner Brothers will not have a major presence at San Diego Comic-Con this year, which means it may be some time until we get a proper look at footage from the film. According to Jenkins’ tweet, the “full campaign” will begin in December. Still, if this poster is anything to go by, it’ll be well worth the wait.

Behold:

In a world of dark and gritty superhero films, this colour palette is honestly just what we need. And my God, don’t even get me started on the armour.

The film will see the return of Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, as well as Chris Pine as Steve Trevor, despite the whole him being exploded thing. Kristen Wiig joins the cast as iconic Wonder Woman villain Cheetah, which, uh, yes please.

Wonder Woman 1984 will hit cinemas in Australia on June 4, 2020.
