What So Not Brutally Concussed Himself On Stage And Somehow Finished His Set
"I didn’t realise anything was that serious until moments later I couldn’t figure out how to select what to play."
It’s not easy being a DJ. Between the chronic lack of sleep, drunk idiots requesting R. Kelly at every turn, and government officials shutting down all your venues, it’s a tough gig. And that’s when it’s going well — if you’re What So Not, you also have to deal with the occasional concussion.
The Sydney producer was climbing on stage to perform at Texan festival Ubbi Dubbi on Sunday night when hit his head on an LED wall, planting him on the floor.
“It immediately put me to the floor, but I didn’t realise anything was that serious until moments later I couldn’t figure out how to select what to play,” Emoh wrote on Instagram. “We worked out pretty quick I’d concussed myself, but decided I’d deal with it after the set.”
He somehow made it through, although he admits he “almost sat down and just gave up a couple times.”
“Took a minute to sit and chill and ice my head once I was done,” he said. “Was still a little confused for a few hours but eventually cleared up. Sorry to anyone at Ubbi Dubbi Fest if the show was a little off? I think it was alright, but can’t remember it too well.”
See his full Instagram post below, including some photos from the ill-fated set. Also just a note — please do not try this at home.
