Please Enjoy This Video Of An Over-Enthusiastic Dad Shirtfronting His Small Child
Father of the Year 2018.
Anyone who’s participated in organised youth sports, whether as a kid or a parent, knows that despite the players being small, the stakes can be very high as this viral video can attest to.
Now I’m not a parent in the slightest, but I can understand the frustrations soccer mums and dads must feel watching their wee little children attempt to coerce a ball into a net, their tiny un-coordinated limbs struggling to perform the basic movements required to grasp victory.
The urge to get involved yourself must be extreme. What if you just ran out there, grabbed Timmy by the waist and swung his entire body towards the ball like a human hockey stick, at least making sure he moves it in the right direction of the field? What if???
One dad over in the UK has finally given into the vexations of being on the sideline and decided he’ll properly get involved to help his goal-keeper son actually perform his keeping duties. How? By just straight up shoving him into the ground of course.

No, it didn’t exactly work as intended as the viral video above shows a second shooter was waiting in the wings to catch the rebound from the now horizontal goal-keeper.
But good on dad for giving it a red-hot crack, albeit by force. At least Tim Cahill is a fan:
