If I’m honest, I want to see how they finished this film after Paul Walker’s untimely death. But I’m also fascinated by how unimportant narrative is to Justin Lin’s increasingly gestural automotive spectaculars (James Wan steps into the director’s bucket seat this time).
Fast 6 was full of such audacious stunts that I laughed with joy and the whole cinema burst into the kind of spontaneous applause usually reserved for Broadway showstoppers. How will they top it? With Jason Statham, that’s how.
