Whenever Donald Trump does something racist, the mainstream media scrambles to find a new cowardly euphemism to describe the act. If you’re sick of hearing phrases like “racially tinged” all the time, The Daily Show has come up with just the trick: a Racist Euphemism Headline Generator to help publications avoid calling Trump racist, but with a bit of flair.
“Hey media, need to write a headline about Trump being racist, but don’t want to call him a racist? Try our Trump Racist Euphemism Headline Generator!” the show tweeted today, after Trump doubled down on some wildly racist comments about a group of Democrat congresswomen he doesn’t like.
The generator has so far produced headlines like “Trump Dips Toes In Pool Of Eyebrow-Raising Racial Misadventure”, “Trump Strolls Along Banks Of Racially Intriguing Metaphor”, and “Trump Gently Explores Crevices Of Racially Ambiguous Whoopsie”, the last of which I think we can all agree is a little too graphic.

Possibly the best thing about this headline generator is that it can easily be applied in other countries, too. While The Daily Show clearly designed the website with Donald Trump’s specific brand of racism — sorry, pearl-clutching racial fumble — in mind, the euphemisms generated work just as well in headlines about Australian politicians’ racism. You’ll never have to face up to the reality of racism in your own lifetime again if you keep this page bookmarked.
