There are some things that Team AWOL will go to the ends of the earth to protect. Our Instagram feeds for travel inspiration, and dogs are two things towards the tippy top of that list, and Jonathan Warren the travelling Chihuahua is ticking both of those boxes – this jet-setting adventurer documents his travels and, more importantly, is a very good boy.
Every hero has an origin story, and Jonathan Warren is no exception. Jonathan was once a shelter dog scheduled to be euthanised. That was before his new owners, Amanda Klecker and Jeremy Simon, fell in love with the pooch and took him home, sealing his destiny as our new favourite Instagram travel icon.

Once he’d settled into his new life of freedom, Jonathan’s new owners took him on a short flight and quickly realised that he loved travelling with them. Since then, the jet-setting dog has visited eight countries and travelled across the United States.
The family has travelled around the world on planes and trains (and probably automobiles) together, and document their holidays on Jonathan’s Instagram account. His feed is serving up major travel envy.
